The Peoria Symphony Guild is the only guild in our nation for puppet trouping. Hundreds of children see staged puppet productions of "Peter and the Wolf," "Peter Gynt," or "Hansel and Gretel" on a rotational basis per season. Guild volunteers have presented these programs for more than 30 years to more than sixty schools in Peoria and surrounding areas.
The 36th year of puppet theater will be "Peer Gynt" by Edvard Grieg.
Rehearsals start in September. Anyone interested in joining the puppet troupe should call Joan Monroe at 688-1590.
